God Won't Ask
Rev. Sereno Baiardi, OFM
Print Friendly Page

God won't ask what kind of car you drove,
but how many people you gave rides to who didn't have a car.

God won't ask the square footage of your house,
but how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won't ask about the clothes in your closet,
but how many people you helped to clothe.

God won't ask what your highest salary was,
but if you earned it honestly.

God won't ask what your job title was,
but if you had compassion.

God won't ask how many friends you hand,
but how many people you befriended.

God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
but how did you treat your neighbors.

God won't ask about skin color,
but how big was your heart.
