Crisis in the Church

Rev. Mark Connolly

Every one of us knows about the tremendous crisis that the Catholic Church is involved in today.

Fr. Mark

The problem of the pedophiliac priest is seen in newspapers, heard on the radio and seen on television. There is an awful lot of misinformation, a lot of inaccuracies and half truths. There is an article in this magazine that is probably one of the most knowledgeable that you will ever read. It is factual, it is clinical, it is objective. Written by one who has studied this field for many years. I strongly suggest that you read it and re-read it. Concerning the pedophiliac personality, there are all sorts of psychiatric opinions and very few have clear answers as to how to confront this problem. This article gives you clarity and understanding in a way that surpasses anything you read from your local newspaper or hear on your local television.

I would love to hear your comments on it. I would love to get your suggestions about this whole problem. Any comments or suggestions you give we will submit to the bishop of our Diocese. Your answers, your insights, might be far more helpful than you realize. Whether you are Catholic or non-Catholic we would appreciate hearing your opinion. If there is any time that the Catholic Church needs your help, and I write this whether you are Catholic or non-Catholic, that time is now. I suggest you read this article and profit from it as I have. It is one of the most authentic that you will ever read about this problem that has been so devastating to so many.
