Thought for the Month – Call on Me

By Yolanda Cohen

A photo of waves breaking against the rocks with a lighthouse in the background

When surrounded by waters
with waves crashing high
Don't flounder around
and keep wondering, why?

God sees all that's happening
on life's rugged sea
And He's patiently waiting
Saying, 'call on me'

'I know the waters
are too hard to sail,
Remember, it's I
who commandeth the gal'

'If your life was easy
and storms never came,
Would you ever
call out my name?'

'I'll watch you flounder
around in life's sea,
Then I'll calm your storm,
when you call on me'
