Oh what a beautiful sunrise
Has dawned on me today
Shinning on my pathway
As I knelt there to pray
To thank my heavenly Father
For keeping me thru the night
And then to thank him again
For waking me with such beautiful light
He's given me a brand new day
Another day to walk with him
Oh how wonderful to know
That Jesus is my friend
No other friend like Jesus
I will ever know
He gives to me sweet peace,
Orders my steps everywhere I go
As I meet some friends of mine
On this sunny day
and tell them just how blessed I am
To have Jesus hear me pray
